Competitive Labor Rates
Here at the PC/MD we take great pride in being able to offer quality computer services at reasonable rates. Our base hourly rate is $100 (chargeable by the quarter hour) which compares very favorably with local and national competitors. In addition to our hourly rate we have several labor charges which apply to certain situations:
| PC Physical | Our PC Physical service is $150. Additional work done
outside the boundaries of the physical may be charged at the
hourly rate. |
| Light PC Physical | Our light PC Physical service is $100. Additional work done outside the boundaries of the light physical may be charged at the hourly rate. |
| On-Site Service Calls | The minimum charge for on-site service calls is $50 or one half hour of labor. |
| Travel Time | Travel time maybe chargeable for on-site service calls outside our normal operating area. |
| On-site Estimates | On-site estimates are chargeable at the hourly rate but may be waived if the quote is accepted. |
| Software Installation | Starting at $50 or one half hour of labor. |
| Data Transfer | Starting at $50 or one half hour of labor. |
| Hardware Installation (excluding memory) | Starting at $50 or one half hour of labor. |
| Remote Service | Starting at $25 or one quarter hour of labor. |
PC/MD Perks
Remember that we are consumers too, and we are committed to being more than just computer technicians but rather your trusted IT advisors. In keeping with this philosophy we offer several services to our clients at little or no charge:
| In-store Estimates | Always free! |
| PC/MD Computer Setup | If you buy a computer from us we will set it up in your home free of charge! Installation of your peripherals however may be chargeable at the hourly rate. |
| Appointment Cancellation | No problem! We do not charge for changing or canceling on-site service appointments. |
| Phone, E-mail and In-store support |
We support all of our products and services. |
| Memory Installation | Clients that purchase memory from The PC/MD can have it installed at no charge! |
| Remote Service | We currently offer remote assistance to existing customers only. Check the remote services page for details. |
Labor Rate
